About WorkChoices Solutions
WorkChoices Solutions was developed as a consequence of Industrial Relations changes that came into effect as of 27 March 2006. The legislation, Workplace Relations Amendment (Work Choices) Bill 2005 (Cth) introduced a new system known as WorkChoices. The reforms
brought significant industrial relations changes to the country.
More recently the Workplace
Relations Amendment (Transition to Forward with Fairness) Bill 2008
passed the Australian Parliament on 19 March 2008, with the first
changes commencing on 28 March, 2008. The implementation of the Bill is
the first stage of the many promises made by the newly appointed Labour
government during their election campaign last year. The new Bill will
be used primarily as a transitional form of legislation in that the
changes it introduces will be used as a stepping stone for more
significant workplace change in 2010.
WorkChoicesSolutions was designed to provide a comprehensive and practical guide to the new industrial relations systems to assist employers and employees in understanding these overwhelming and perplexing changes.
Following the implementation of the further changes in 2010 we will
develop a specific site dedicated to the new legislation.
In the meantime you can still reference all of the WorkChoices
information on this site as well as having access to the major changes
that have already been effected as a result of the
Workplace Relations Amendment (Transition to Forward with Fairness)
Bill 2008.
